At the United Nations this week, cautions were made that uncontrolled mass migration could strain national institutions, erode sovereignty, and challenge the ability of states to maintain order and social cohesion. In his address, the speaker argued that when migration proceeds without adequate regulation, it may overwhelm public services, disrupt labor markets, and provoke political backlash from citizens who feel their security or identity is under pressure.
